The Edo state government has announce the receiver of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines and waiting for local distribution in the state. The secretary to the state government made this known in a press release in Benin City the Edo state capital.
The SSG, Osarodion Ogie, said the vaccine were in the state government custody, he said the government are making final preparation for it deployment across the local government in the state.
He further said the state government is preparing a method that will be locally based for the efficient rollout of the vaccine in line with national plan.
“The Edo State Government is in the custody of doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine from the Federal Government for distribution in the state. We are preparing a local distribution network to roll out the vaccines in line with the national plan,” the statement added.
The SSG, further assured the Edo people of the state government readiness to combat the menace, and admonished every Edo people to continue to observe the COVID-19 protocols.
