Edo Police Command has said that it had deployed over 3,000 personnel to provide adequate security for lives and property before, during and after today’s Eid-El Maulud in the state.
The command assured that security had been beefed up around mosques and event centres across Edo State.
This was made known in a press release signed by the command Public Relations Officer SP Kontongs Bello and made available to journalists in Benin City.
The statement wishes Muslim faithful a happy Eid-El Maulud, it however enjoined them to celebrate within the armpit of the law and relevant COVID-19 protocols.
