Ensuing Chaos Brewing Between the Camps of Yari and Akpabio

Even though it was previously believed that the race for Senate President would put an end to all excitement, things are still happening at the 10th Senate. Ambition is not a fire that can be put out so easily. According to the current state of affairs, Senator Abdulaziz Yari may have discovered a way to surpass the influence and dominance of his former rival, Godswill Akpabio, the current President of the Senate.
The 10th Senate’s key seats are what matters most.

The competition is being affected by a number of different factors, including ethnic background and religious affiliation. The current polarizing factor is regional circumstance, which has supporters of a democratic electoral process at a loss for words over the apparent disregard for fairness.

The senators in the Senate are hurling insults at one another as they deliberate on who should hold the highest positions. The senators are now arguing over who will be Majority Leader, Minority Leader, Deputy Majority Leader, Deputy Minority Leader, Chief Whip, and Minority Whip, instead of who will be Senate President and Deputy Senate President. The current unease in the house is also a result of the deputising roles.

The best candidates for these positions reportedly cannot be agreed upon by senators from the North and the South. Even senators from the South-west have become particularly outspoken in their demands that senators from their regions fill the positions.

One will never forget the uproar that followed Akpabio’s victory over Yari. When zoning did not benefit them, those canvassing for it changed their minds. Others who opposed Akpabio becoming the next speaker of the house have insisted that Yari would have made a better choice by taking advantage of the current hostilities in the house.

The way things stand, it is obvious that the Yari and Akpabio camps are hard at work, some causing unrest while everyone else seeks to profit from the resulting chaos.

The current state of affairs makes it clear that the factions led by Yari and Akpabio are actively at odds, with some people purposely igniting unrest while all parties seek to profit from the ensuing turbulence.
