The Federal Government has mandated the complete closure of all land boundaries in advance of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
This information was revealed in a communiqué released Thursday night in Abuja by Isah Idris Jere, the comptroller general of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
He stated that from Saturday to Sunday, the boundaries would be closed.
The Federal Government has ordered the complete closure of all land borders, effective from 0:00 on Saturday, February 25, 2023, to 0:00 on Sunday, February 26, 2023, according to the statement.

As a result, “all Command Comptrollers are to ensure strict enforcement of this directive, particularly those in the Border States.”
