Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has reiterated the determination of his administration to probe the water storm project initiated by the Adams Oshiomhole led government.

The Governor who stated this while on an inspection tour of the different catchment areas of the stormwater project in Benin City also noted that the tour is to ensure that the state government is not spending money on works claimed to have been done by the immediate past government.

Governor Obaseki attributed the flooding being experienced in the catchment areas which includes Textile Mill; 2nd West Circular and the New Lagos roads, to the poor work, allegedly done by the previous handlers.

Obaseki also visited the Ekehuan road reconstruction site embarked upon by his administration and expressed satisfaction at the level of work done.
The Permanent Secretary Edo State Ministry of Infrastructure, Ferguson Enabulele said the target of government is to complete about 8 kilometers of the road this year.
Enabulele further stated that contractor is focused on the 5 critical points of the axis, and are now constructing the rigid pavements that will retain the water and make the road durable.
