At the Grow Houses Estate along Kuchibiyi in the Kubwa district of the Federal Capital Territory, armed men suspected of being kidnappers attacked and kidnapped an undetermined number of people throughout the course of the weekend.
According to several eyewitness accounts, roughly 20 armed men entered the estate on Friday around 11:30 p.m. and opened fire randomly before fleeing with a number of victims.
The victims, according to the locals, were a pastor, his wife, three children, and a total of roughly 15 other individuals during the one-hour attack.
A local claimed that the victims were taken from two of the estate’s units.
He stated: “We heard the sounds of shooting, and as a result of the occurrence, there was panic in the entire town.
We visited the estate this morning and discovered that the shooters were in their early 20s.
They dispossessed people of their possessions when they moved from one apartment to another.
From two apartments in the estate, they also kidnapped at least nine people, including women and children. “They escaped via the bush that connects the neighborhood to Paze village.
Since early this morning, the police and the estate security have been looking through the bushes to see if they can find the missing residents.
The FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the occurrence to our source on Sunday and stated that the officers and estate security guards were searching the nearby bush for the victims.
“We immediately sent our personnel to the scene after receiving the distress call,” she said.
However, the suspects quickly stopped their activities and carried several victims into the wilderness with them.
