HOW TO BE A SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR

An entrepreneur is someone who starts and develops a business. The entrepreneur generally take some financial and career risk in beginning the business, but can also reap the reward if the business is ultimately successful. An entrepreneur is not only self-employed, but also innovative and creative. In order not to dawdle, there is a difference between an entrepreneur and intrapreneur, as well as technopreneur. It is no longer news that an entrepreneur is self-employed, innovative and creative while an intrapreneur is also innovative and creative, but working under another person or an organisation. Technopreneur on the other hand is as well innovative and creative through the use of technology. However, emphasis shall be on entrepreneur, and how one can be a successful entrepreneur.

 One Can Be a Successful Entrepreneur Through The Following;

 Hard work – Most entrepreneurs are hard workers. They get up early and work hard all day. When the business is first starting, they work long hours for little or no pay.

Smart work- If you must be a successful entrepreneur, you have to work smart. In this twenty-first century, those who work hard may not be successful, but those who work smart.

Risk taking – Starting a new business can be very risky. Most entrepreneurs take a great risk when they first start out, giving up a secure job and putting their personal finances on the line.

 Innovative & Creative– Entrepreneurs are generally innovative. They have new ideas and are willing to try new things.

Willing to fail – Most of the famous entrepreneurs actually failed before they were successful. They learnt from their mistakes and used them to improve their business.

The spirit of perseverance- Many successful entrepreneurs never give up despite all obstacles or discouragement. They are mostly conscious of the popular aphorism ‘quitters never win and winners never quit.

 Leaders – Many entrepreneurs are good leaders. They are able to gather talented people around them who help them to succeed.

Competitive – Entrepreneurs want to win. They are willing to take risk and work hard to get to the top.
