Launch of Nestlings Playbook in Nigerian universities

The Nest Innovation Technology Park and Campus Innovation Circles (CIC) have joined forces to introduce The Nestlings Playbook, a groundbreaking initiative created to address the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs in Nigerian institutions.

The Nestlings Playbook is designed expressly to give the undergraduate community access to the tools and support they need to explore the digital economy. By providing the option to actively explore digital entrepreneurship, founders can gain valuable experience and knowledge without facing the major risk associated with implementation.

It said that the ecosystem of Nigerian students is rich in talent, but there is a need to offer them with the tools and resources needed for a smooth transition into the digital economy as entrepreneurs and not labour talents alone.
With this collaboration and integration, The Nest Innovation Technology and CIC become an invaluable resource of assistance for today’s university founders who are eager to learn about the digital economy in order to benefit Africa. interpreting the adage “catch them young” literally.

“Partnering with CIC is a bold step aligned with our strategy to provide support and access to resources to promote innovation and create awareness among young people, which will directly impact the Nigerian economy and Africa as a whole,” said Peter Ogedengbe, co-founder of The Nest Innovation Technology Park.

This integration is set up to enable founders inside university communities to take on challenging tasks with the aid of innovative digital tools and sufficient assistance.
It will build a pipeline of entrepreneurial talent that can meet the demand for such knowledge across a wider ecosystem by graduating as active competitors in the market or second-time entrepreneurs.
Joba Oloba, a co-founder of The Nest, said, “We think that student entrepreneurs have the potential to provide ground-breaking solutions to common issues. We are enabling them to realize their full potential and have a significant impact on the African business ecosystem through the ground-breaking program The Nestlings Playbook.

The Nestlings Playbook Project, which is set to transform the environment for creators across University Communities in Nigeria and Africa, is positioned to develop a new generation of entrepreneurs who will shape the course of the country’s economy.

Toyin Bamidele (Batel), the project’s coordinator and lead, emphasizes: “We firmly believe that the undergraduate community is the next frontier for fostering wealth in Africa. One of the largest initiatives to encourage founders across academic communities who are investigating digital entrepreneurship to foster prosperity is this strategic cooperation.

Our strategic alliance will contribute to Africa’s transformation to a digital economy through young participation as we navigate the route to generating equitable and sustainable development in Africa.”

The Nestlings Playbook’s flagship initiative would begin in March 2023 with 15 university communities, and applications would then be accepted.
