Mr. Harrion Okao the Ohenosa of the holy Aruosa cathedral in Benin has been suspended by the Oba of Benin.
Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo. Ewuare ll has announced the suspension of the Ohenosa of the holy Aruosa Cathedral the traditional church in benin, he is suspended as a result of an alleged unauthorised ministration in the cathedral.
According to a statement by the secretary to the Benin traditional council, Frank Irabor, the suspension is based on the recommendation from the joint elders committee of the cathedral and some senior chiefs of the palace.
He said the suspension was as a result of long-standing lingering breach and non-charlatan by Okao that span over several years and age long tradition and custom.
“This decision is expected to bring lasting peace, sanity and tranquillity to the holy spiritual environment that is imperative in the Holy Aruosa Cathedral of Benin which has hitherto been absent in the Holy Arousa because of the non-compliance with tradition and custom by Harrison Okao over several years,”
With the suspension, the statement advice Mr. Okao to stop parading himself as the Ohenosa of the cathedral and he should handover the property of the cathedral, and he should stop operating the bank account of the cathedral.
Holy Aruosa, is refuted to been one of the oldest worship center in Nigeria, it a place of worship of the Oba, and history has it that it has span over three centuries.
