Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning singer, revealed that his favorite birthday memory was being taken as a youngster to see Daddy Showkey perform at a kids’ park.
In a recent conversation with Apple Music’s Ebro, he made this revelation.
The singer, who was born in Port Harcourt, claimed that his sixth studio album, “Love, Damini,” which was released around his birthday last year, was a recreation of that joyful birthday memory from his youth.
“You got the ‘Love, Damini’ album, you see what’s in the record: I’m happy it’s my birthday,” he said. You are joining me in that [happiness].
“When I was a young child, I was taken to a kids’ park where I saw Daddy Showkey perform for the first time. That was my favorite birthday ever that I can recall in my life. In my album, I kind of wanted to recreate that. ”.
