Nigerian troops are decimating Boko Haram in Timbuktu, rescue a lot of captives

In a renewed bid by the Nigeria military, one of the stronghold of the dreaded Boko Haram have been raided by the Nigeria troops. This development resulted in the rescue of yet to be identified number of captives who has been under the captivity of the sect.

This stronghold is within the sambisa forest and it also extended to lake chad axis, the Timbuku region is an expanse of land that has it stretch between two state, Borno and Yobe.

This expanse of land has remained unpenetrated for years by the military, the move by the military high command to have the area cleared of Boko Haram has achieved a huge success.

The renewed offensive was carried out by sector 2 troops and special Brigade of the Nigeria Army and the Nigeria Air Force

The operation has decimated the sects, and  eliminated their activities. Several arms, ammunition and other equipment used by the terrorists were discovered. Clearance operation is ongoing at Buk, Talala, Gorgi, and other Boko Haram enclaves recently attacked.

Recalled the service chiefs were changed, with the mandate of raiding the country of criminality, this directive was given to the newly appointed service chiefs by the president, as one of the main reason of appointing them.
