Ireti Kingibe, the second female senator-elect from the Federal Capital Territory who won the seat under the party’s banner, has been endorsed by Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.
“I heartily congratulate Sen.-elect Mrs. @ireti kingibe, the second female senator elected for the Federal Capital Region of Abuja. Her election is consistent with our dedication to women and young people, Obi stated in a tweet on Tuesday that also included images of him and Kingibe.
The incoming senator will represent the Labour Party in the FCT, according to Obi, the Labour Party, the OBIdient family, and his campaign mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed.

According to The PUNCH, the newly elected senators received Certificates of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission on Tuesday.
The certificates were given to the winners of the just completed senatorial elections, which were held on February 25 at the National Collation Centre, better known as the International Conference Centre, in Abuja. INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu gave the certificates.
Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, and Kashim Shettima, the vice president-elect, both received their credentials from the electoral authority on Wednesday.
