Release of 23 remaining Abuja-Kaduna train victims marks gradual end to terrorism – CAN Featured

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has lauded the Federal Government for fulfilling the earlier promise to rescue the remaining 23 abducted Abuja-Kaduna train victims.

A Presidential Committee set up by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, to look into the abduction of victims of the Kaduna-Abuja train attack, secured the release of the 23 remaining victims in the terrorists’ captivity.

Reacting in a statement, the CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh commended the Federal Government for the release of the victims.

He said the development not only indicated that the authorities meant serious business, but they were ready to muster the required political will to end the reign of terror in parts of the country.

Okoh said, We commend President Muhammadu Buhari for this development which signposts the efforts of the Federal Government at combating our common enemy as a nation- insecurity.
