Senate presidency: “Stop lying to harm my name,” -Orji Kalu.

The battle for the Senate presidency has reached a fever pitch, with Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the Chief Whip of the Senate, raising concerns about attacks on his character. In a statement released on Thursday, the former Abia State governor expressed his dismay at the lies being spread about him in an attempt to damage his reputation and undermine his chances of securing the position.

Kalu urged his colleagues to focus on improving the lives of Nigerians rather than engaging in petty politics and character assassination. He emphasized the need for unity and cooperation in order to move the country forward and achieve success as a nation.

“As we approach the election of a new Senate leadership on June 13th, I implore my fellow senators to prioritize the needs of the people we were elected to represent,” Kalu said. “We must reject hatred, lies, and propaganda, and instead work together to build a better future for all Nigerians.”

Kalu’s statement serves as a reminder that politics should be about serving the people, not personal gain or ambition. As the Senate prepares to elect its new leadership, it is important that all candidates focus on their vision for the country and how they plan to make a positive impact, rather than engaging in mudslinging and divisive tactics. Only by working together can Nigeria achieve its full potential and become a beacon of hope for the rest of the world.
