Shehu Sani a former Senator representing Kaduna Central, yesterday said a family of six was among those kidnapped by terrorists from a train on Monday.
In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle @ShehuSani, he tweeted: “A whole family in the hands of the train attack terrorists. If this doesn’t touch the heart or prick the conscience of this country’s leaders, nothing will.”
He also tweeted a photo of the family members.
Sani called for the establishment of the Northwest security network to help tackle bandits in the region.
He said: “We need our own North-Western Security Network (NWSN) to tackle bandits.
“If you are travelling to and from Kaduna by road or rail, it is until you pass the villages of Rijana or Katari before you know that you have made your journey; anything short of that your life is on a scale of probability.”
